.Restart your computer in safe mode. This will stop the virus from causing more damage before you are able to remove it. To do this, press "F8" from the screen in which the computer begins to load.
.Press the "Start" windows button, located at the bottom left of the computer's desktop.
.Slide your mouse over the "All Programs" tab.
.Scroll through the list of programs and move your mouse to the "Accessories" tab, then the "System Tools" tab, and select "System Restore."
.Make sure the "restore my computer to a previous date" button is highlighted and press "Next."
.Select a date prior to contracting the Google Hijack virus, and press "Next" to restart your computer. Once your computer is restarted, the virus will be gone.
